About LAE

Christopher Kasule

STUDENT (YEAR 12)

Economics, Geography, Politics, EPQ

The people around you are all so smart, all so inspiring, and they all push you forward to be the best that you can be.

LAE has a very diverse group of students and all of us are dedicated to our studies, even though we all have different personalities and range from introverts to extroverts. Having that diverse a range of people helps you understand how you can interact with other people in the world beyond, when you're at university or in the world of work.

As students, we are competitive but this competition is not toxic, it is not about wanting to be 'better than others', but about helping each other to become the best that we can be. The competition just helps you get better and better and in the end, achieve better grades. It's so motivating and inspiring because we know that we can pretty much achieve anything that we want.

The emphasis on extracurricular activities is probably one of the most unique things about LAE. I currently am in debate club, but there are so many clubs available. I also do PE, I used to play basketball but you can change sport every half term if you wish to. I also take part in Wellbeing because my mental health is very important to me and that's something really positive to have in your life. Like all LAE students I do Outreach as part of my extracurricular activities, this is where LAE students go out to the community and give back. We are able to volunteer in schools or in a range different companies. It is a really worthwhile experience to be able to give back to our communities.
