About LAE

Eve Rahman

DEPUTY HEADTEACHER

LSE: Ba International History, University of Warwick: Masters in Educational Leadership

LAE is a community of teachers and students working together to ensure that students are able to be the best that they can be.

LAE students are at a different level, they bring excitement and academic rigour to every single lesson. They are keen to do well and achieve their dreams for their futures. I believe the range of opportunities we are able to provide, from lectures to clubs, sports and trips, meetings with professionals from a diverse range of careers, peer-to-peer sessions with student representatives of our partner schools, are fundamental to their future success. All experiences count in helping our students go on to achieve their goals at the best universities at home and abroad or in apprenticeships.

It's really a great experience to work at LAE because it's such a community. We see this sense of community every single day as well as during special events such as 'Culture Day' where the unique diversity of our school population of students and teachers is celebrated. Diversity is welcomed and embraced at LAE which simply means that all students can feel comfortable in who they are and how they choose to express themselves.

It is wonderful for me to be able to work in such an academic environment, but it's equally important that we are developing the whole student, that we focus on their experiences, opportunities and wellbeing.
