MFL Scholars and mentors gathered this week to celebrate the scholars' successes. They were joined by MFL teachers, as well as Year 12 students interested in joining the programme and benefiting from mentorship and networking opportunities aimed at linguists.

The MFL Scholarship recognises the hard work of modern foreign linguists, and encourages these students, taking French or Spanish, to consider how future MFL study can enhance their career and soft skills. 

Learning an additional modern language can unlock a world of benefits, ranging from better interpersonal skills to improved cognitive flexibility. Our MFL scholarship programme brings together those who have studied languages at university, with current students studying a modern foreing language, in order to share and celebrate the benefits of language learning.

The celebration event was a chance to bring together all those involved in the programme over cake, teas and coffeees, and some words of thanks from Head of MFL, Ms Mandy Bolster.
