Science Technician

Full time 37.5 hours a week 8 am to 4 pm (0.5 hour unpaid lunch) 

Salary: GR 4/5 Pt 13-20 Actual salary £16,374 to £20,758 (fte £20,300 to £25,735) (subject to 2023 pay award) dependent on experience. 

Term time 37 weeks plus 5 INSET days. 

London Academy of Excellence (LAE) is seeking to recruit a Science Technician to support the Senior Science Technician and Lead Teachers of Biology, Chemistry and Physics in delivering practical lessons supporting the LAE curriculum.  

The successful candidate will join a thriving and successful sixth form college and should be willing to be part of the LAE whole school experience. LAE is an ambitious, academically selective sixth form in the heart of Stratford, close to the Olympic Park and just two minutes from Stratford Station (zone 3), with excellent links to all parts of London.

Role

We seek a well-organised Science Technician committed to providing high standards of support at LAE. Candidates will support the department with growth of the science department and transition into new premises in Sept 2025.
